This 10-hour shared experience brings together four well-known Arenal stops. Transportation, entrance fees, lunch, volcanic mud, insurance, and a bilingual guide are included.

What you’ll experience

We collect participants from hotels around La Fortuna before the scheduled 8:00 a.m. departure. Several pickup stops may be required.

Your La Fortuna Full Day Combo begins at La Fortuna Waterfall. Reaching the base requires descending approximately 530 forest steps. You must climb those same steps before leaving.

The Fortuna River drops about 70 meters into the rocky area below. Swimming may be possible when river and weather conditions allow.

Next, we continue to The Arenal Volcano Ecological Park. Your guide leads a moderate hike lasting approximately two hours. Expect inclines, roots, mud, and uneven natural terrain.

Open sections may reveal Arenal Volcano, although clouds can block the view at any time.

After the hike, we stop for an included traditional Costa Rican lunch.

Then we travel to Místico Park for its 3.2-kilometer rainforest circuit. The trail crosses 16 bridges, including six hanging bridges. Its tallest bridge rises about 45 meters above the forest floor.

Wildlife observations and explanations are shared among the group. Animals move freely, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Our final stop is El Choyin, a naturally heated section of the Tabacón River. Warm water flows between rocks and forest vegetation.

This is a natural river setting, not a developed thermal resort. Expect uneven rocks, limited facilities, changing water levels, and other visitors.

Volcanic mud is included. Bring your own swimsuit and towel.

We return to La Fortuna around 6:00 p.m. Traffic, weather, hotel drop-offs, and the group’s pace may affect the exact time.

Eat a complete breakfast before pickup. Lunch comes after the waterfall stairs and volcano hike.

Bring enough drinking water for a long, active day. Bottled water is currently listed as excluded.

Wear closed hiking shoes with reliable grip. You will encounter stairs, natural trails, forest slopes, and wet river rocks.

Changing facilities near a natural river may be basic or unavailable. A waterproof bag is useful for storing wet clothes after the soak.
