You want a highly interactive coffee-and-chocolate experience with especially strong accessibility, covered trails and a format that works extremely well for families and mixed-mobility groups.

Both are good.

We wouldn't tell guests that one is simply “better.”

North Fields feels more farm-centered and personal.
Don Juan feels more structured and broadly accessible.

Don't rush from this tour directly into another activity on the opposite side of Arenal.

One advantage of North Fields is that it works best as a relaxed part of the day.

We like it in the morning before lunch, as an easy afternoon cultural stop, or between two more active days when everyone appreciates doing something interesting without another long hike.
