La Fortuna town is compact, but many of the experiences people come to Arenal to enjoy are located outside the town center.
Arenal Volcano trails, hanging bridges, hot springs, waterfalls, adventure parks and lake viewpoints are spread throughout the surrounding area.
For most of these attractions, public buses are not a practical transportation option.
